Moscow to submit evidence implicating terrorists in chemical attack in Syria to UN Security Council

VALDAI( Novgorod) – Moscow will turn over the evidence implicating terrorists  in the use of chemical weapons, to the UN Security Council, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday, according to ITAR TASS.

“Deputy foreign minister Sergei Ryabkov has been in Damascus now for talks with the government of Syria, and his task is to ensure strict compliance with all the resolutions passed by the Organization for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons,” Lavrov said.

“During the talks the Syrian authorities have turned over the evidence, which confirmed a provocative character of the events on August 21, to Ryabkov. “experts will study it, and then we will submit the evidence to the UN Security Council,” Lavrov said.
