Moscow: The discovery of a military stronghold of the Ukrainian forces in a school in Kherson

Moscow (ST): The Russian Defense Ministry said that the Russian army discovered a defense stronghold and a depot of military weapons and ammunition belonging to the Ukrainian forces in a school in the liberated Ukrainian city of Kherson.

Russia Today website quoted the ministry as saying in a statement, “The Ukrainian Nazis used one of Kherson’s schools to fortify themselves, and they adopted it as a point of spread and turned it into a stronghold,” explaining that this same educational institution and its ground floor were filled with boxes of ammunition and weapons, as well as medicines and military equipment.

The statement indicated that the Russian army examined the site for mines and explosives, removed all weapons and ammunition, and then handed over the building to the city’s education department.

For her part, Tatiana Vasionina, the school’s principal, said, “On the 24th of February, the Ukrainian armed forces, wearing civilian clothes, stormed the school. They quickly began to settle down and bring some boxes and some equipment. They were soldiers, but they were all in civilian clothes.
