The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the summoning of the French ambassador to Moscow, Pierre Levy, in light of the statements made by his country’s officials about the attempt to assassinate the director of the “Russian House” in the Central African Republic.
“ We expressed our strong protest against the statements of the French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Catherine Colonna, about the attempt to assassinate the director of the Russian House, Dimitri Cety, on the sixteenth of this month, and the attention of the French ambassador was also drawn to the non-acceptance of the recent accusations,” the website of Russia Today channel quoted the ministry as saying in a statement.
Some Russian private military structures have spread propaganda and violence against Russia against the civilian population of the Central African Republic, explaining that such comments are “indecent and comical.”
The ministry called on the French authorities to stop their neo-colonial approach to their work in the region, which is reflected in directing African partners regarding who they should be friends with and cooperate.
