Majority of Syrian People Supports President Al-Assad, says Pushkov
Alexey Pushkov, Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman of the Russian Duma has made it clear that the majority of the Syrian people supports President Bashar Al-Assad.
“actually, there are differences in the attitude of Russia and the USA concerning solving the crisis in Syria,” added Pushkov.
“the US slightly shifts its policy as President Al-Assad’s stepping down will not automatically meet the US aspirations, pointing out the Secretary of State Hilary Clinton stated that the “Istanbul council “is not the sole representative of the “opposition”. Hence, they relentlessly began to create other groups within the opposition “. Pushkov pointed out.
