Moscow says Washington funds separatist militias in Syria from the reveneues of stolen Syrian oil

MOSCOW, (ST)_ Moscow has asserted that Washington funds the separatist militias in northeast Syria from the revenues of the stolen Syrian oil. 
 
In an interview with Sputnik, the head of the Department of International Organizations at the Russian Foreign Ministry, Pyotr Ilyichev said that Washington’s measures in Syria focused on encouraging the separatist militias through funding them from the revenues of the illegal oil trade. 
 
” In the begining, the Americans and their allies claimed that they invaded the Syrian territories with the aim of fighting ISIS , but they turned their efforts into imposing political measures .. ISIS has not been defeated although Washington has announced its victory over ISIS,” Ilyichev clarified. 
 
He referred to the fact that the US Admimistration’ s decision to recognize Israel’s sovereignty over the occupied Syrian Golan seeks to fragment Syria.
