Moscow condemns the terrorist attack on an army bus in the countryside of Deir Ezzor

Moscow, (ST) – Russia condemned the terrorist act that targeted a bus of the Syrian Arab Army in the countryside of Deir Ezzor. It blamed the United States and its terrorist organizations, including ISIS, for the incident.

RT quoted the Russian Foreign Ministry as saying in an official statement posted on its website: We strongly condemn this terrorist act, and we extend our sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery for the injured.

The Ministry added: We express our solidarity with the Syrian government and people in their struggle against terrorism

The Ministry confirmed that the illegal US military presence in Syria is one of the main destabilizing factors in the region, and that Washington’s policy aimed at preserving its occupation of vast areas in northeastern Syria is due to that areas  wealth of oil, gas and agricultural resources.The statement added that the  continued pressure of sanctions on Syria has lead to a further deterioration in the social and economic situation and the activation of the extremist underground movement in the region.

Syria has previously confirmed that the crime of the American occupation forces and its terrorist organizations in targeting a bus of the Syrian Arab Army in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor comes comes within the framework of the American escalation against Syria’s sovereignty and independence, in the context of the United States’ support and sponsorship of terrorist organizations, foremost of which is the terrorist organization (ISIS).
