Mortar fire kills 2 in Damascus

DAMASCUS,(ST)_Terrorists have fired a mortar round on Dwel’a quarter in Damascus, killing two civilians and wounding eight others, a police command source said Tuesday.

The source was quoted on the official news agency (SANA) as saying that a mortar round-fired by terrorists- hit near the ‘al-Huda’ mosque in Dwel’a quarter where two civilians were martyred and eight others wounded.

The mortar attack caused damages to several shops at the scene.

Two days ago, several mortar rounds struck the same quarter, leaving damages to several houses and cars at the scene. No one was hurt.

The US, France, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey support the terrorist groups operating in Syria.
