Mortar Attacks Kill 5 Civilians and Wound Dozens in Aleppo and Damascus

PROVINCES,(ST)_Mortar attacks have killed at least five civilians and wounded 43 others  in Aleppo and Damascus, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency reported today that terrorists fired shells on quarters of al-Jameleyeh and al-Meridian and on Sa’adallh al-Jaberi square as well as on the outskirts of the municipality palace in Aleppo city.

At least 5 civilians were martyred and 40 others wounded by the mortar attack, a source at Aleppo governorate said.

Three other civilians were wounded when shells-fired by terrorists- hit al-Mazra’a and al-Kabas quarters in the capital [Damascus].

A police command source clarified that a shell landed behind ‘al-Iman’ Mosque in al-Mazra’a quarter where a civilian was wounded and several cars were damaged. 

While the other two civilians were wounded when a shell struck al-Kabbas bridge.

Another mortar attack ripped through Jaramana city outside Damascus as three shells landed at the municipality square, causing damages to several houses and cars without casualties.
