More than 500 Democrats are calling on Biden to hold Israel accountable for its crimes

More than 500 employees and members of the Democratic Party and members of the previous election campaign for US President Joe Biden demanded that Israel be held accountable for the crimes and violations, which were committed against the Palestinians during its recent aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip.

The American congressional newspaper, The Hill, reported that a letter signed by more than 500 Democratic Party employees, organizers, and employees who worked at Biden’s election campaign headquarters called on the latter to “support the Palestinians and hold Israel accountable for its recent human rights violations in the Gaza Strip ”.

The letter should contain  “in a firm and unequivocal manner’ a list of crimes against civilians ” by  Israeli occupation, and  it should hold “Israel” responsible for its violations, as well as using weapons which were obtained from the United States.

The signatories of the letter demanded an end to the settlement expansion of the Israeli occupation in the West Bank, the lifting of the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, and an end to Israel’s violations of international law.

The United States failed three times to issue a statement by the Security Council calling for an end to the recent Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip and an end to the attacks on Sheikh Jarrah in occupied Jerusalem, within the framework of its blatant bias towards the occupation entity.

This month, 253 Palestinians were killed, including 66 children, in addition to the wounding of about 1950, to cover up the crimes and practices of “Israel” against the Palestinians.
