The People’s Gallery in Damascus hosted the annual exhibition of the Syrian Plastic Artists Union, entitled “Artistic Windows” which included more than 50 works by artists from different provinces.
The exhibited paintings varied in techniques. They included oil, acrylic, and collage works presented by the artists in innovative ways.
Secretary General of the Union of the Syrian Plastic Artists Ghassan Ghanim stressed the importance of the exhibition which is held annually and through which the participating artists express an artistic experience they lived through their paintings.
In turn, the Secretary of the Damascus Branch of the Arab Socialist Baath party, Hussam Al-Samman, indicated that the exhibition is a tribute and appreciation for the effort made by the participating artists, pointing out that the aim of the exhibition is to consolidate the culture of the Syrian plastic art and improve the visual artistic taste.
The plastic artist, Eva Al Abbas, participated in the exhibition with an abstract work of medium size that combines the silent and living nature using bright colors with acrylic technique.
Fore her part, artist Nagham Nasr, a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, participated in an abstract work in which she used various graphic techniques and collage to express the human condition with a painting of medium size.
