More than 380 local, regional and international brands participating in BUILDEX and the International Syrian Industrial Exhibition

The activities of the 21st edition of the International Exhibition for Construction BUILDEX and the 8th edition of the International Syrian Industrial Exhibition kicked off on Tuesday at Damascus fairgrounds.
The economic event is organized by the Arabian Group for  Exhibitions and Conferences  AGE  with the support of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing and the Ministry of Industry.
More than 380 local, regional and international brands are participating in the two exhibitions, representing a range of specialized products and supplies in building materials, stone, marble, paints and insulation materials, in addition to air conditioning and ventilation equipment, alternative energies, water technologies, environmental sustainability and furnishings.
Minister of Public Works and Housing, Engineer Suhail Abdel Latif, stressed  that holding such  exhibitions is an opportunity to showcase the most prominent products of the participating companies and introduce them to producers and industrialists.
Minister Abdul Latif referred to  the importance of the broad participation of local, regional, Arab and international companies and the various products they provide which greatly contributes in the coming stage to laying the foundation of the reconstruction process, given the important products these companies provide in the field of building, construction and urbanization.
For his part, the Minister of Industry Abdul Qadir Joukhadar pointed to the great diversity of participation in the industrial exhibition, including industrial machines and equipment from various engineering, chemical, food, petrochemical, and energy specializations, which indicates the state of recovery witnessed by the Syrian industrial sector.
He emphasized the role of the Ministry of Industry in supporting all industries that meet the market needs and in seeking to export products to foreign markets.
