More than 16248 martyrs are victims of the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip
Occupied Al-Quds (ST) – The number of victims of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip for the 60th day rose to 16248 martyrs, including 7121 children and 4885 women, in addition to 43616 thousand injuries.
The Gaza Media Office stated on Tuesday that the number of massacres committed by the occupation since the end of the temporary truce agreement has reached 77, claiming the lives of 1240 martyrs who arrived at hospitals. The total number of massacres since the beginning of the aggression reached 1550, and the missing persons number approximately 7600, some of whom are still under the rubble or their fate is still unknown.
The Office added that the number of martyred medical personnel reached 286 doctors, nurses, paramedics, and 32 civil defense men. In addition, 81 journalists were martyred.
The Office stressed that the number of completely destroyed housing units reached 52,000. 253,000 units were also partially demolished, noting that the occupation targeted 275 schools, 69 of which were out of service, while the number of completely destroyed mosques reached 100, while 192 mosques were partially damaged. In addition, three churches were also damaged.
The Office added that during the aggression, the occupation aircrafts dropped more than 50,000 tons of explosives. It held the international community fully responsible for the absolute support it gives the occupation to continue killing thousands of Palestinians, especially children and women.
The Office warned that halting the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip or following a policy of trickling its entry is a despicable method of putting pressure on the Palestinians by depriving them of food and medicine, which constitutes a death sentence for the people of the Strip.
The office requested the entry of hundreds of equipment and vehicles for relief, emergency, civil defense and works crews so that they can recover the bodies of hundreds of martyrs, who are still under the rubble and remove the rubble.
