More than 16 thousand Palestinian martyred and 31 thousand wounded in Gaza Strip during the first half of 2024

The Palestinian Foundation for the Care of the Families of Martyrs and Wounded announced that 16,255 Palestinians were martyred, and 31,297 were injured in Gaza Strip during the first half of 2024, as a result of Israeli occupation attacks and massacres.
” Among the martyrs were 6,725 children and 6,725 women, while about 10,000 victims are still missing under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them”, WAFA News Agency quoted the Foundation as saying in its statistical report on the numbers of martyrs and the wounded in occupied Palestine.
The report indicated that 38 Palestinians were martyred in the southern regions, as a result of the starvation policy, due to the siege imposed by the occupation since October the 7th, 2023.
In the northern regions, the Foundation for the Care of Families of Martyrs and Wounded documented the martyrdom  of 237 martyrs and the injury of 890 others in the first half of 2024, noting that among the martyrs were 45 children, 4 women, 6 martyrs as a result of settler attacks, and 27 students.
Regarding the martyrs of prisoners and detainees, the Foundation for the Care of Families of Martyrs and Wounded said that 13 Palestinian prisoners were martyred during the period covered by the report.
Concerning   the detained bodies of martyrs, the Foundation pointed out that the occupation authorities are holding 256 bodies in the numbers cemeteries, including 27 martyrs who were prisoners, 53 children, and 8 Women.
These numbers do not include the martyrs detained in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the aggression on October the 7th, 2023.
