More than 14,000 martyrs including 5,840 children are victims of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip
The number of victims of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip for the forty-sixth day has increased to more than 14,128 martyrs, including 5,840 children and 3,920 women and the number of injuries reached 33,000, 75 percent of whom are children and women.
The Gaza Information Office said in a statement on Tuesday “The number of massacres committed by the occupation reached 1,354, and the number of missing persons reached 6,800, including more than 4,500 children and women.”
The office pointed out that the number of martyrs of medical personnel reached 205 doctors, nurses and paramedics, and 22 civil defense men and 62 journalists were martyred.
The office explained that the number of destroyed schools reached 266 schools, while the number of completely destroyed mosques reached 83 mosques, and the number of partially destroyed mosques is 170 , in addition to targeting 3 churches.
The office stated that the number of residential units that were subjected to total demolition amounted to 44 thousand residential units, in addition to 230 thousand residential units that were subjected to partial demolition. This means that about 60 percent of the residential units in the Gaza Strip were affected by the aggression,either totally or partially demolished .
“In light of the Israeli occupation targeting hospitals in particular and threatening medical teams, 26 hospitals and 55 health centers were put out of service as a result of the aggression, and the occupation also targeted 55 ambulances.” The Gaza Information office said:
It pointed out that the occupation forces’ bombing of Al Awda Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip left a number of martyrs and wounded inside the hospital, in addition to the occupation continuing to directly besiege and bomb the Indonesian hospital, which has resulted in dozens of martyrs and wounded.
The office added that the markets and shops in the Gaza Strip are suffering from a lack of various basic and food supplies, coinciding with the complete cessation of bakeries and the absence of hundreds of types of food from the markets.
