More terrorist groupings eliminated

PROVINCES, (ST)- Units of the armed forces on Friday wiped out  terrorists’ groupings  and dens nationwide , inflicting heavy losses upon them.

In Damascus Countryside, units of the armed forces carried out a series of special operations against terrorists’ dens and groupings in Erbin,Joubar,al-Rihan,HarastaDeir Attiya Barza ,al-Nabik and al-Qaboun where scores of terrorists were killed.

In Homs countryside,a military source told the official news agency that a large number of terrorists killed in al-Rastan and Talbisa in Homs countryside.

In Daraa,a unit of the armed forces repelled members of an armed terrorist group who were attempting to attack a military checkpoint  in al-Sheikh Saad village in Daraa, killing and injuring many of them.

Terrorists in al-Sheikh Miskeen area, al-Nasriyeh, Abu Ghara, Sahim al-Golan, al-Hairan, al-Zarora, al-Rfed and Rasm al-Darb in the countryside were received big blows at the hand of the army.

In Aleppo, units of the armed forces repelled terrorists’ attempt to attack al-Kindi Hospital and killed scores of terrorists in several areas in Aleppo) in al-Sheikh Najar and on Aleppo-al-Raqa road, areas  surrounding the Central Prison of Aleppo, Khan al-Assal, Andan, Hreitan, al-Eiss ,al-Naqarin, al-Kalllaseh , Muthalathiyeh park ,al-Maissar and Hreitan.

In Idleb, according to a military source,an army unit targeted a terrorists’ groupings  in al-Madajen area on Eblin-al-Bareh road in Ariha in Idleb, Tal salmo and Abo Duhor area killing a number of them and injuring others.

Meanwhile,two citizens were injured by mortar shells fired by terrorists on al-Qassa neighborhood in Damascus.

“another shell hit the George Khoury square roundabout .No causalities were reported,”said a source at the Damascus Police Command.
