More Syrian Unionists Join Lawsuit against Erdogan Government

Damascus, (ST) – Heads of Unions of Chambers of Commerce, tourism, agriculture, workers and peasants announced they will join the lawsuit filed by the Union of Syrian Chambers of Industry before a German court against the government of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, for sponsoring thieves and terrorists who looted, stole and dismantled factories and industrial plants in Aleppo and took them to Turkey.

In a press conference on Sunday in Damascus, President of the Federation of Chambers of Industry Fares Shehabi explained  that the lawsuit was filed on March 7th  before a court in Strasbourg, Germany and  is the fastest European court in litigation,  pointing out, that evidences were collected on the Turkish  government compelling  involvement include  audio recordings videos and telephone calls  between the robbers and sides directing them to steal and transport the plants, illustrated media reports and live testimonies.

He stressed that the case was filed  in cooperation with a UN-registered  human rights organization and is represented  in Beirut  by lawyer Mai Khansa who  prosecuted and sentenced  Israeli officials, including  Sharon and Perez before European courts.

“We view Erdogan  the same as Sharon and Peres if not worse,” Shehabi said,  reiterating that, “this lawsuit is not politicized nor  against the Turkish state and that many Turkish opposition parties and human rights organizations support us to that .”

The Shehabi indicated that the objective of the  lawsuit is to unmask the Turkish government practices before Arab, European and world public opinion, and force it to change its policies and compensate for the damages.

Chairpersons of the general union of Syrian Workers, and the chambers of commerce, peasants, tourism and agriculture outlined damages inflected on all country’s production sectors  , looting of public and private companies  and commercial markets and Ethnographic books, especially the library  of the Umayyad Mosque in Aleppo by armed terrorist groups, stressing that smuggling the library’s  750 thousand manuscripts to Turkey is a crime  not only against Syria but human legacy as a whole.
