More medals for Syrian weightlifting team in AWC

TUNIS, (ST) – The national weightlifting team are continued their impressive performances in the Arab Weightlifting Championship as they added new five medals to their tally.

Ali Rasha, the promising weightlifter, has captured three bronze medals in the 85 kg contest (snatch, clean and jerk and total.

 Helen Muhsen , 75 kg, took two silver medals in her category.

With this fresh accomplishment, the Syrian team lifted up their tally to (3 gold, 3 silver and 9 bronze).

It is to be noted that 13 Arab countries are taking part in the said event in Tunisia.
