DAMASCUS, HOMS, (ST) _ Status of 108 wanted persons, including several militiamen who turned themselves in to competent authorities was regularized in rural Damascus and the repentant persons vowed not to do any work undermines the security of the country.
Meeting with persons whose conditions were settled at the rehabilitation center in Qudsayya, yesterday, Minister of State for National Reconciliation, Dr. Ali Haidar stressed that the homeland can accommodate all its people and is in need of their efforts to overcome the crisis and restore peace and security to all regions, encouraging them to return to normal lives and contribute to disseminate awareness among the misled.
Haider pointed out that efforts in the area of national reconciliation are poured on promoting existing reconciliation efforts and opening new areas for reconciliation such as in Bassima and Hosseinieh, noting that national reconciliations need integration among all components of society and standing by the army in order to rid Syria off terrorism and terrorists.
“The already equipped rehabilitation volunteering center is specialized in national reconciliation processes,” the minister said, adding that the center has recently received more than 2,500 persons whose conditions were settled.
Dr. Haider listened to the demands raised by persons whose status were regularized and problems from which they suffer, stressing that “the government will give them needed help and care to improve their situation and meet their requirements.”
For his part, head of the national civil team of the charity rehabilitation center Khaled Maraashly indicated that Qudsayya suburb center receives the redeemed returnees via competent authorities, tracks their status and provides them with living, health and social care services through seminars and educational lectures before they return to their homes.
Regulating status of 85 gunmen in Homs countryside
In Homs, conditions of 85 wanted militiamen were regularized, including gunmen from the city of Homs and its rural areas in Furqlus, Rastan, Mshahada, Deir Balbee and Baba Amr, after they turned themselves and their weapons in to competent authorities in cooperation with the Committee of the settlement and national meeting in the province and vowed not to do any further work that violates the security of the country.
All persons whose conditions were settled called on others who still taking up arms to give it up and return back to the homeland and not to make themselves cheap tools, in the hands of countries conspiracy against Syria.
