Modatex Exhibition in Lattakia

LATTAKIA, (ST) – The Syrian Exporters’ Federation, in cooperation with the Federation of Chambers of Industry in Damascus, Aleppo and Lattakia yesterday opened a specialized exhibition in fashion and leather “Modatex” at Lattakia Tourist Hotel.

The Head of the Syrian Exports Development Agency Ihab Ismander said in a statement to local press that the aim of the two-day exhibition is “to maintain communication between producers, traders and consumers and open new export markets in the hope of strengthening the domestic consumer’s confidence in the quality of the national product and a competitiveness of the European product “.

 

Mr. Ismander stressed that foreign markets proved the excellence of the Syrian product in the field of textiles, pointing out that the return of the  industrials to production in light of the difficult conditions they are  facing and their own innovations as alternatives for work, ” is a sign of strength, will and determination to the Syrian industrialists to the advancement of building the national economy.”

The Syrian Exporters’ Federation held several indoor and outdoor shows in order to see the output map to be compared them with the market map and to follow-up of problems and obstacles that hinder the work of the industrialists.
