Mobility Aid Workshop, Al-Manara University

SARC ( Syrian Arab Red Crescent) has organized a workshop on “mobility health aid”, in the framework of supporting students’ health activities, enhancing their capacities, and linking their theoretical education to practical training. SARC accepted the invitation of Al-Manara University in Lattakia to hold an introductory training workshop about Mobile Aid for people with disabilities.

For two successive days, second year students of health sciences college in the university attended the workshop, which included a full explanation about mobility aid and appropriate methods to use it; like modifying homes to help patients become more self-dependent. As well as practical session about disassembling, assembling and using wheelchairs, walkers and canes.

 It’s worth mentioning that SARC’s physical rehabilitation project is supported by the Finnish Red Cross.
