DAMASCUS,(ST)_ Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Walid al-Moallem stressed that the second round did not fail, rather made a very important progress, thanks to the awareness of the Syrian negotiator when he announced Syria’s approval on the agenda proposed by the international mediator, starting with renouncing violence and counter-terrorism.
Al- Moallem added on board of the plane carrying the Syrian delegation returning to Damascus from Geneva that the United States tried to create a very negative atmosphere for dialogue in Geneva and agreeing the agenda, which begins with denouncing violence and counter-terrorism made it hurry to accelerate to thwart the second round, pointing out that the talk about the U.S. aggression on Syria is but a psychological media war aiming at pressuring the Syrian negotiator.
