Missile attack targeted US occupation’s base in Deir Ezzour countryside

DEIR EZZOUR, Aug.16, (ST)- US occupation forces announced on Tuesday that a missile attack had targeted their base in Al-Omar oil field of Deir Ezzour countryside.

“A number of missiles fell in the surroundings of the base near Al-Omar field late on Monday resulting in zero casualties,” the so-called US-led coalition said in a statement released today.

The attack come after less than 24-hours of another attack that targeted a US occupation base in Al-Tanf area in Homs countryside near the Syrian-Iraq borders.

Since 2014, the US occupation has established illegal military bases in areas they occupy in cooperation with armed terrorist groups, including a base in the Al-Omar oil field in Deir Ezzour and a major military base in the Al-Tanf area under the pretext of fighting the terrorist ISIS organization.

However, it was proved  that the US occupation forces established that bases as platforms to support the terrorist organizations that are already spread in the region, including the so-called “Maghawir Al-Thawra” and  ISIS terrorists, to recycle them and use them in attacking the positions of the Syrian army and residential areas and vital facilities in the Syrian Badia region.
