Miqdad to Al-Daoudi: Redoubling efforts to face the challenges imposed by Corona and the Western economic blockade on Syria

 On November 29th,Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Faisal al-Miqdad met the Head of the Operations Department at the Head Office of the World Food Program(WFP), Amer al-Daoudi, and his accompanying delegation.

 The two sides discussed the existing joint cooperation between the Syrian government and WFP.

 Minister al-Miqdad expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the WFP in Syria in the delivery of humanitarian aid.

 

 He stressed the need to deliver humanitarian aid to those who deserve it in a way that alleviates the economic challenges facing the Syrian people as a result of what terrorist gangs have destroyed in the Syrian economy and the Western unilateral coercive measures.

 He stressed the need for the WFP to redouble its efforts to implement the decisions of the relevant United Nations bodies and to face the challenges imposed by the Corona and the Western economic blockade on Syria.

 For his part, al-Daoudi praised the facilities provided by the Syrian government to the WFP for the sake of the success of its humanitarian mission.
