Miqdad receives the credentials of Marion Weichelt Krupsky as non-resident chargé d’affaires of the Swiss Confederation

Dr. Faisal Miqdad, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, received today, Tuesday the 8th of March 2022, the credentials of the non-resident Chargé d’Affaires of the Swiss Confederation to Syria, Marion Weichelt Krupsky.

Miqdad welcomed Krupsky wishing her success in performing her duties and strengthening relations between the two countries and stressing that relations between Syria and Switzerland are very important.

Miqdad expressed Syria’s appreciation to Switzerland for hosting various international talks and its efforts to provide humanitarian aid to the Syrian people, expressing the readiness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with all its departments and sections, to provide the necessary facilities and the support needed in communicating with all Syrian national authorities for this purpose.

For her part, Krupsky drew attention to the importance of bilateral cooperation between Switzerland and Syria, noting that her country has always been steadfast in its historical neutral position and in making all possible efforts to provide humanitarian aid to the Syrian people in their crisis.
