Miqdad during his meeting with the UN Resident Coordinator in Syria: Work continues to implement early recovery projects

On October 30th, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad, expressed his appreciation for the role played by the Resident Coordinator of United Nations activities in Syria, Imran Riza, on the occasion of the end of his duties in the country, and his transfer to perform other tasks. 

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the activities and projects that were implemented in cooperation between the United Nations team in Syria and the various concerned Syrian authorities, in particular the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates

Minister Miqdad showed appreciation for the important role of Riza during his work as a resident coordinator in Damascus, wishing him success in his new duties. 

In turn, Riza expressed his appreciation and thanks for the support and cooperation he received from the Syrian government agencies to facilitate his tasks. 

The meeting was attended by the Director of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences in the Ministry, Rania Al-Haj Ali, and from the office of the Minister, Yazan Al-Hakim, and the director of the Resident Coordinator’s office, Francisco Galtieri.
