Ministry of Health receives 4 artificial respirators from Pope Francis

DAMASCUS, April.11, (ST)_The Ministry of Health received on Monday 4 artificial respirators from Pope Francis, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

The agency quoted the Minister of Health Hassan Al-Gabbash as saying after he received the respirators from the Papal Ambassador in Damascus: “Two of the respirators will be delivered to General Commission of the Al-Bassel Heart Surgery Center in Damascus, while the other ones will be delivered to the Al-Bassel Health Surgery Center in Aleppo.”

Al-Gabbash affirmed that these devices support the efforts being exerted by the ministry to fight CoronaVirus , expressing his thanks to the Pope for this valuable gift which reflects the meaning of love and peace.

For his part, the papal ambassador Cardinal Mario Zenari declared that the Pope sent additional respirators to the Private French hospitals [St. Louis Hospital] in Damascus and Aleppo, conveying the Pope’s best wishes to the Syrian people.
