Ministry of Health launches intensive national vaccination campaign against the Corona
On March 26th, the Ministry of Health launched the intensive national vaccination campaign against the Coronavirus in various governorates.
The campaign targets people over the age of 18 and will continue until the 30th of this month.
The Director of Primary Health Care at the Ministry, Dr. Razan Tarabishi said that 8022 health workers distributed in 20 hospitals, 865 health centers and 423 mobile teams are participating in the campaign.
Dr. Al-Tarabishi stated that the campaign aims to enhance the stability of the epidemiological situation and protects against possible severe symptoms resulting from infection with the Coronavirus.
Damascus Health Director, Dr. Muhammad Samer Shahrour, explained that the number of health personnel participating in the campaign in the governorate of Damascus is 459 in 39 health centers, two hospitals and 25 mobile teams.
He added that the vaccine is safe, effective and recommended by the World Health Organization.
The Director of Health in the governorate of Damascus Countryside Dr. Yassin Naanous said that 901 health workers are participating in the campaign through 155 health centers, 7 hospitals, and 83 mobile teams.
