Today, the Ministry of Health launched the National Vaccination Days campaign to follow up on unvaccinated children, from one day to five years old, and the campaign will continue until the 24th of this month.
Dr. Razan Al-Tarabishi, Director of Primary Health Care at the Ministry of Health, confirmed in a statement to SANA that the campaign is being implemented through 1,026 health centers and 579 mobile teams covering various regions, with the participation of 8,842 health workers. She noted that the goal of the campaign is to ensure that children complete all the vaccinations included in the national vaccination program, follow-up of children who drop out of it, give them due vaccinations, and provide them with a new vaccination card if it is not available.
According to Al-Tarabishi, the campaign aims to assess the vaccination status of about 2,700 children in various governorates, pointing out that the data indicates that there are more than 268,000 children who have not completed their vaccinations, calling on parents to take their children to health centers or mobile teams to assess their vaccination status and give them due vaccinations.
It is noteworthy that the vaccine is available, safe, free, effective and recommended by the World Health Organization, and common symptoms such as colds, diarrhea or mild fever do not prevent vaccination.
