The Ministry of Health announced the availability of a number of qualitative drugs for patients with chronic diseases, including heart and nerves. These drugs are distributed free and upon request in the central pharmacy within the ministry’s building in Damascus.
In a statement today, the ministry indicated that the drug is dispensed according to a medical report that proves the medical condition and the monthly need for the drug, provided that the boxes delivered to the patient or his family are sealed with the pharmacy’s seal to prevent misuse.
The ministry noted that the amount being disbursed is sufficient for the need of three months for each patient according to a prescription issued by the specialized doctor, with the medical report renewed annually.
It stressed that the siege and unilateral coercive economic measures imposed on Syria still delay the process of importing medicines and their failure to arrive on time.
