Ministry of Health: 16 new cases of Coronavirus are recorded in Syria and the town of Ras al-Maarrah was quarantined
The Ministry of Health announced the registration of 16 cases of coronavirus in the town of Ras al-Mara in Damascus countryside, bringing the number of cases registered in Syria to 141.
The ministry said in a statement on June 7 that the contact came with the infected truck driver working on the Syria-Jordan Route.
The ministry said that the town of Ras Al-Maara was quarantined in order to prevent the spread of the virus and to preserve public health and the safety of citizens.
On June 4, the Ministry of Health announced that it had registered a case of coronavirus in Damascus countryside for a person working as a truck driver on the Syria-Jordan Route.
According to statistics of the Ministry of Health, the total number of injuries so far has reached 141, of which 58 have recovered, and six have died.
The first infection with the Corona virus in Syria was recorded on March 22 for a person coming from outside the country, while the first death was recorded on March 29.
