Ministry of Foreign Affairs holds farewell ceremony for the Brazilian Ambassador in Damascus

DAMASCUS, Jul.21, (ST)- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates held on Thursday a farewell ceremony for the Brazilian Ambassador in Damascus, Fabio Vaz Pitaluga who ended his duties as his country’s ambassador to Syria.

Ambassador Pitaluga showed appreciation and gratitude to President Bashar Al-Assad, the Syrian government and people, and the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates for their cooperation with him to complete his mission as ambassador of his country to Syria.

The Ambassador hailed the sacrifices of the Syrian Army in confronting terrorism, which poses a threat to the whole world, hoping that more stability and prosperity would be achieved in Syria.

For his part, Assistant Foreign Minister, Ayman Sousan, asserted the determination of the two countries to consolidate the cooperation between them, noting that Ambassador Pitaluga was distinguished by his giving and enthusiasm to serve the relations between the two countries.

In a statement to reporters, Ambassador Petaluka stressed that there is a great opportunity to expand and develop relations between the two friendly countries, especially in the cultural field.
