Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomes the positions condemning to the Israeli attacks on southern Syria

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the statements issued by the members of the international community in the United Nations Security Council that condemned the repeated Israeli forces’ attacks on southern Syria, as these violations constitute a flagrant violation of international law and a blatant aggression on Syria’s sovereignty.

“We witnessed notable escalation of violations and attacks by the Israeli occupation forces that killed 6 innocent civilians. In this regard, we confirm that the pretexts that Israel had previously used to justify its repeated guns on the Syrian lands has been completely refuted, but Israel continues with its violations without any deterrence”, the ministry said in a statement on Tussday.

“Syria reaffirms its commitment to defending its sovereignty, as it calls on the international community to continue to pressure Israel and compel it to comply with the 1974’s disengagement agreement and stop its attacks on our people and our land”, the ministry added.
