Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates: Repeatedly cutting off water to more than a million Syrian citizens in Al-Hasakah is a war crime
On November 14th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates confirmed that the repeated water cuts for more than a million Syrian citizens in Hasaka is a war crime and a crime against humanity.
The Ministry called on the international community and the United Nations to move to put an immediate end to all these violations, which are no longer acceptable to be silent about.
The Ministry said in a tweet on its Twitter account: “The repeated cutting of water to more than a million Syrian citizens in and around Hasaka is nothing but a despicable and inhuman game, whether by the separatist “Qasd” militia and its sponsors, the American occupation forces, or by The Turkish occupation forces and its tools are among the terrorist groups.”
The Ministry added: The repetition of water cuts constitutes a collective punishment against civilians, especially vulnerable groups such as children, women and the elderly, and is a war crime and a crime against humanity.
The Ministry noted that the Israeli aggression yesterday on the countryside of Homs is only a link in the series of roles distributed between these parties, disregard for the provisions of international law.
The ministry called on the international community and the United Nations to act to put an immediate end to all these violations, which are no longer acceptable to remain silent.
