Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemns ongoing Israeli aggression on Syrian territory

Damascus, March 25, 2025 – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemneds the ongoing Israeli aggression on Syrian territory, which has witnessed a dangerous escalation in the village of Koya in the western countryside of Daraa.

Over the past hours, the village has been subjected to intense artillery and air bombardment targeting residential neighborhoods and farms, resulting in the martyrdom of six civilians. The death toll is likely to rise due to serious injuries and the targeting of agricultural areas.

This escalation comes amid violations that began with the incursion of Israeli forces into the Quneitra and Daraa governorates, as part of an ongoing aggression against Syrian territory, in flagrant violation of national sovereignty and international law.

“We affirm our absolute rejection of these crimes and call for an international investigation into the crimes committed against innocent people and into Israeli violations,” the ministry said.

“We also call on the Syrian people to cling to their land and reject any attempts at displacement or the imposition of a new reality by force,” the ministry added, stressing that these attacks will not deter Syrians from defending their rights and their land.
