Ministry of Environmental Affairs expresses gratitude to Syrian army during activity marking March 8 revolution
Ministry of State For Environmental Affairs, in cooperation with the Baath Arab Socialist Party’s Damascus branch and the Revolutionary Youth Union, organized Monday an activity on the occasion of the anniversary of the March 8th Revolution.
The activity included a blood donation campaign for the wounded Syrian soldiers and wreath laying at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Qasyon area in Damascus.
“The blood donation comes with the framework of enhancing the role of the ministry and its employees towards the society and expressing appreciation to the Syrian arb army, which defends the homeland, ” Minister of State for Environmental Affairs Nazira Sarkis said.
She also affirmed the importance of participation in the forthcoming parliamentary elections due to be held on April 13th to select the well-qualified representative in the parliament.
On his part, Secretary of the BASP’s Damascus branch Wael al-Imam declared that the March 8th Revolution was a real revolution to build the Syrian state.” The foundation of the Syrian Arab army, which defends the homeland, was one of the most important achievements of the March 8th revolution,” he added.
The Baath party official indicated that wreath laying on the tomb of the unknown soldier reflects appreciation for the sacrifices offered by Syrian soldiers to defend the homeland.
