Jeddah,(ST)- The Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah in Jeddah discussed during the meeting on Wednesday with the Syrian Minister of Endowments Muhammad Abdel Sattar Al-Sayyed preparations for launching the Hajj season and Umrah rituals for Syrian pilgrims from Damascus this year.
The Ministry of Endowments said in a statement that during the meeting it was agreed that Hajj and Umrah for this year would be launched from Damascus under the supervision of the Syrian Ministry of Endowments.
The joint preparatory committees between the two ministries would discuss all the details and logistical procedures necessary to serve the pilgrims and Umrah performers in Syria, and provide them with all the necessary facilitations.
The Assistant Minister of Endowments for Hajj Affairs Hassan Nasrallah and the Syrian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ayman Soussan participated in the meeting.
It is noteworthy that the Minister of Endowments Muhammad Abdel Sattar Al-Sayyid participated yesterday in the opening of the Hajj and Umrah Services Conference and Exhibition (The Road to Hajj).
(The Road to Hajj (Conference and Exhibition is held in the city of Jeddah, and continues until the 11th of this month.
The conference includes many sessions and workshops on all the details and services that are important for Pilgrims.
