Ministry of Education continues its precautionary measures to tackle Coronavirus

The Ministry of Education announced the completion of 70%  of the work to sterilize and clean schools in various governorates, and to allocate 28 schools for emergencies, as part of the precautionary measures to tackle the Coronavirus.

In a statement, the Ministry stated that the sterilization work of schools will be completed by the end of this week.

The ministry also put, according to its statement, 12 of its boarding houses in the governorates, with a capacity of 668 people, at the disposal of the concerned authorities, as part of precautionary measures to address the emerging virus.

The Ministry has formed a work team comprising of 210 cadres of the School Health and Readiness Departments in the directorates of education who have experience in tackling emergencies so that they can be trained by the concerned authorities in the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry of Education on Saturday informed its directorates in the governorates and directorates of the central administration and its affiliated bodies, to reduce the number of their employees to the lowest levels, in a way that guarantees the work progress until further notice.
