Ministry of Education and Dutch “War Child” Organization and its partners discuss enhancing educational process in Syria

Youssef Anan, the Director of Planning and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Education, met with the Dutch “War Child” Organization and its partners in Syria, including the Grassroots Renaissance, Mercy Without Borders, Bahar, and Takafol Al-Sham organizations, to discuss the working mechanisms for delivering their services to strengthen the educational process in Syria.

Anan reviewed the ministry’s plan and work priorities concerning the rehabilitation of the infrastructure of educational facilities, building new schools to quickly reintegrate drop-out students, and the restoration of damaged schools. He noted the work of the organization and its partners, especially in northern Syria.

Representatives from the organizations explained their work mechanisms and the services they can provide regarding training and qualifying educational staff and providing psychological support for both teachers and students simultaneously.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the National Commission for Education, Science, and Culture (UNESCO) in Syria.
