Ministry of Agriculture holds ceremony on the occasion of Tree Day in Damascus countryside

Under the slogan “The Tree is the Lung of Life,” the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform held today a central celebration of the 70th  anniversary of the Tree Day in Al-Juwairat site in Qudsaya area in Damascus countryside.

 

Prime Minister, Eng. Hussein Arnous participated in the ceremony.

About 4,500 diverse forest trees of pine, Lebanese cedar and oak will be planted in accordance with the environmental, climatic and land conditions of the region on an area of about 7.5 hectares.
