Minister Sarah: Misleading knowledge aims to demonize Syria in all its components
The training course focused on the importance of enhancing digital content in the face of misleading media and enabling media professionals to deal with the massive infusion of information and immunize it from chaos in social media.
In his speech, Minister of Information Imad Sarah said that the current time is witnessing changes at the technological and knowledge level, and this requires the establishment of empowering courses that fortify the media.
Minister Sarah said that the war has moved to social media because it is more widespread and less expensive, and the war that Syria faces has become a military war in addition to the siege and information war, which is the worst kind of wars.
Minister Sarah called on media figures to be equipped with knowledge and provide appropriate media content to confront the media war that focuses on exploiting the economic situations which are created by the war, the siege, the so-called Caesar Act, and the spread of the Corona epidemic
Participants in the 3-day training course, which included the directors and editors-in-chief of a number of official newspapers and websites, focused in their statements on the necessity of the effective presence of the national media through the electronic space and on social media platforms.
The participants are to discusses working papers focusing on obstacles to the transition to digital journalism, professionalism in journalistic work on websites, content management in digital media platforms, and the nature of digital content adopted in publishing.
The opening session was attended by Deputy Minister of Information Ahmed Dawa, Director General of Al-Wehda Foundation for Press, Printing, Publishing and Distribution Amjad Issa, and media figures from various governorates.
