Minister Sabbagh receives a phone call from his Cuban counterpart

Last night Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bassam Sabbagh received a phone call from Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, in which he discussed the developments in northern Syria following the terrorist attack and its repercussions on the security and stability of Syria and the safety of its citizens.

 

Minister Sabbagh explained the size and scope of the terrorist attack that was prepared in advance, and in which a large number of foreign terrorist elements participated, and received external support provided by regional and international parties targeting the Syrian state and working to destabilize its security and stability.

 

Minister Sabbagh noted that this terrorist attack launched by the terrorist organization “Tahrir al-Sham – Jabhat al-Nusra”has threatened the lives of safe civilians and placed them in difficult humanitarian conditions.

 

Minister Sabbagh stressed the importance of supporting the efforts of the Syrian state in confronting terrorism and combating all its forms, and intensifying efforts to expose all forms of external support received by terrorist organizations in Syria in terms of military and logistical supplies.

 

Minister Sabbagh called on the Security Council to shoulder its responsibilities in implementing its resolutions related to combating terrorism.

 

For his part, Minister Barilla expressed Cuba’s condemnation of the terrorist attack on some Syrian cities, and Cuba’s support and absolute solidarity with Syria, government and people, in confronting it, which serves the political agendas of well-known countries, and it holds full responsibility for it and its dangerous effects.

 

Al-Baour renews Libya’s support for Syria’s sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity

 

Minister Sabbagh also received a phone call from Taher Al-Baour, who is in charge of running the affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Libya.

 

Al-Baour stressed that the State of Libya is following with concern what is happening in Syria, especially since his country has gone through a similar experience in the war against terrorism.

 

Al-Baour renewed the Libyan state’s support for Syria’s sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity, and the security of its citizens.
