Minister of Works asks construction companies to prepare 300 pre-made housing units

As part of the immediate response to the earthquake disaster and the housing insurance for those affected in the affected governorates, the Minister of Public Works and Housing Eng. Suhail Abdul Latif called on construction companies to immediately prepare and equip 300 pre-made housing units available to them to be ready for delivery.

During a meeting held on February 15th with the directors of companies and construction institutions in the ministry, Minister Abdul Latif asked the directors of the immediate direct companies to manufacture and provide the government with the necessary housing units.

The Regional Planning Authority was assigned to download the sites affected by the earthquake on the national housing map using GIS technology and study the effects of the earthquake.

The meeting discussed the subject of the construction safety committees that were formed in the affected governorates, which included technical expertise from the Engineers Syndicate and the General Company for Engineering Studies.
