Minister of Transport in the Lebanese caretaker government: Special vehicles were sent to Syria to provide relief to those affected by the earthquake
Beirut (ST): The Minister of Public Works and Transport in the Lebanese caretaker government, Dr. Ali Hamiyah, reaffirmed his country’s support for Syria in facing the repercussions of the earthquake that struck it, saying that special vehicles have been sent to Syria to participate in the implementation of rescue missions, removal of rubble and relief for the afflicted.
Hamiyah said in a statement today: “ Lebanon cannot stand idly by in front and not help our brothers in Syria, which has never been stingy or failed to extend a helping hand and assistance to us even in the darkest circumstances that it has gone through,” explaining that the vehicles moved based on the mandate given by the Lebanese cabinet in its recent session.
