Minister of Religious Endowments: The West created extremism, developed it, destroyed countries and societies, and invested in it everywhere

Moscow (ST): Minister of Awqaf Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Sattar Al-Sayed affirmed that the West created and developed extremism, poured money on it, ruined countries and societies and invested it everywhere, stressing that terrorism and extremism are not from Islam.

Minister Al-Sayed said during his Friday sermon at the Great Blue Mosque in the Russian city of St. Petersburg, in the presence of a large crowd of worshipers : “ We came to you from Syria, the heart of the Levant, which throughout history has carried the values of Islam with its openness and moderation and witnessed the finest examples of fraternity between heavenly laws, indicating that the battle  our Syrian Arab Army is waging it to preserve this model.

He pointed out that the West is trying to make organizations such as “ISIS”, “Al-Qaeda”, “Al-Nusra” and the terrorist “Brotherhood” a representative of Islam, and this is what we will address as a religious institution in cooperation with the religious administrations in Russia.

Last Tuesday, the International Forum of Religions was launched in St. Petersburg, with the participation of the Minister of Endowments, and the conference will discuss the most important religious, social and intellectual issues and the challenges of the Corona pandemic.
