Minister of Internal Trade: Steady steps are being taken to meet the Syrian people’s needs

Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Maher Khalil Al-Hassan affirmed that steady steps are being taken to meet the Syrian people’s needs for goods and materials within a competitive free market economy.

He made the remarks during a meeting today with a delegation representing the Syrian community in Britain.

Al-Hassan explained the ministry’s efforts to control the markets and announce clear and suitable prices.

He stressed the ministry’s interest in strengthening trade relations with all countries, which will positively reflect on the markets and contribute to their stability.

Al-Hassan noted the importance of lifting the economic sanctions imposed on Syria to open up great horizons and create a huge commercial and economic investment environment, as Syria enjoys diverse agricultural, industrial and commercial wealth and has huge human resources.

He briefed the delegation on the measures taken in the markets to improve the living conditions of the Syrian people.
