DAMASCUS, DEC.23, (ST)-The Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Amro Salem discussed on Thursday with an economic delegation representing the Syrian-Iranian Friendship Association the ways of developing economic cooperation and trade exchange between Syria and Iran.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the two sides reviewed the need of the two countries’ markets and ways of ensuring them in the light of the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed on the peoples of Syria and Iran.
They agreed on holding other meetings to focus on the ways of joint cooperation and reactivating the agreements to be reached immediately.
The minister asserted the need to cement the economic relations between Syria and Iran with the aim of overcoming the effects of the coercive measures being imposed on the Syrian and Iranian peoples.
He referred to the deep-rooted relations between Syria and Iran and their key role in resistance.
