Minister of Industry: Thameco Company’s Priorities are to produce quality drugs

Damascus, (ST) -Minister of Industry Dr. Abdul Qader Jokhdar stressed that the priorities of the Ministry of Industry and the Arab Medical Company Thameco’s work plans at the current stage are to produce other pharmaceutical products, especially quality medicine.

Inspecting the work situation at Thameco Company yesterday, Minister Jokhdar pointed to the necessity of working to increase production capacity to secure the local market’s needs for medicines and provide it with all types through optimal investment of production capacities, especially quality drugs.

Minister Jokhdar pointed to the importance of updating and developing the company’s existing laboratories in parallel with qualifying its specialized human cadres of pharmacists and technicians so that Thameco Company can be a nucleus for scientific pharmaceutical research.

The Arab Medical Company Thameco aims, during its current plan, to produce 30 to 35 pharmaceutical products in the context of the work plan to reproduce all the types it previously produced and put new production lines into service.
