Minister of Industry stating from Tartous: The advancement of the industrial sector is irreplaceable in these circumstances

Minister of Industry Ziyad Sabbagh announced that the aim of his visit to Tartous governorate is to take a look at the industrial reality there, both public and private, by visiting a number of industrial establishments and meeting with industrialists.

Minister Sabbagh said in a statement to reporters today that during the visit, issues were discussed and dealt with issues that need central treatment. Other issues were identified and transferred to the government team to push forward the industrial sector, which is irreplaceable in these circumstances.

Minister Sabbagh’s tour, at the end of his visit to the governorate, included the Al-Sin water bottling unit in the city of Tartous affiliated to the General Water Bottling Company, the Shafiq Company for the manufacture of private plastic and metal containers in the village of Mayar Shaker, which employs 180 workers, the Syrian Olive Oil Company and the private Al-Khair Ghee Factory in the village of Al-Jamasa, which produces oils, ghee and soap and provides about 270 job opportunities.

Director of Al-Sin Water Bottling Unit, Eng. Ali Youssef, explained that the plant’s production since the beginning of the year has reached 3 million and 362 thousand water bottles of various sizes, indicating that it supplies various sectors and agencies with this substance.
