Minister of Industry: Commencing work at Salhab Sugar Company is an important step in the production process

Minister of Industry Ziad Sabbagh confirmed that the resumption of work and production at the General Company for Sugar of Tal Salhab in the Hama countryside is a big and important step in the process of production work and the manufacture of sugar beet and the production of sugar and various other materials such as yeast, alcohol and fodder.
In a statement to reporters after yesterday’s tour of the factory, Sabbagh expressed his appreciation for the great efforts and endeavors made by the technical and labor cadres in the company, with the help of the expertise and retired workers who answered the call for the maintenance of production lines and the restart of the company’s operation again after a 7-year hiatus, based on their belief in their homeland and their work, which resulted in operating all production lines in the company, starting with receiving the sugar beet crop and ending with its manufacture, pointing out that the sugar beet industry is one of the important strategic industries that the government seeks to develop in all fields.
Sabbagh explained that the return to production of the Tal Salhab Sugar Company confirms that Syria is able to rehabilitate and restore what terrorism destroyed in various industrial facilities, pointing to the ministry’s keenness in coordination and cooperation with other concerned and administrative authorities to overcome all obstacles to the cultivation and manufacture of sugar beet during the current and upcoming seasons.
