In a statement to reporters at the Cabinet headquarters, Minister Yazagi said that in addition to allocating the National Hospital of Zabadani as an isolation center with an integrated medical staff, the Ministry of Health is also working to raise the readiness of other places for quarantining Syrians coming from the countries which have infections and placing them in it for 14 days, after taking samples from them to be tested at the Ministry’s laboratory and checking on them periodically.

The Minister of Health stated that the Ministry is coordinating with other ministries so that there is a complete integration process to tackle the Coronavirus through setting up controls for the citizens’ staying at home because that is considered the real prevention in order not to have any infections or prevent the spread of this disease.

Minister Yazji reiterated that in every governorate there is a place for quarantine and another one for isolation with full readiness to provide services to citizens, indicating that there will be a special medical team to move between places of quarantine, while the places of isolation will have a special medical team to provide the service fully.
